Sermon Recap
For years it has been preached from The Woods Church stage that “what you feed yourself (what you feast on) is what you will hunger for more of.” Whatever you are feeding on in your life, whatever your indulgences are, is what you will want more of. We see this spiritual principle played out in everything from our eating habits to our addictions. For example, I love ice cream. The more I feast on ice cream, the more ice cream I want. Some people feed themselves on pornography, guess what they crave? More pornography.
What would happen if we started feasting on the right things? What if we started feasting on the presence of God? Feasting on the truth of His Word? Feasting on His voice? Feasting on prayer? How different our lives would look! We might even start looking like the early church in the book of Acts where supernatural wonders and miracles followed the believers wherever they went. One thing I know, we will never look like the early church in the book of Acts if we hunger for the wrong things. We must hunger for the things of God. We must become desperate for His life-giving presence and power. We must spend our time seeking Him and getting to know Him! Our lives must be defined by our hunger for Jesus. If they are not we will automatically begin to hunger for the wrong things. These wrong things will leave us broken, lost, and in bondage. Instead, let’s hunger and feast on His presence!

Discussion Questions
Discuss together, pushing yourself toward transparency. The more we are authentic and humble with one another, the more we can grow in Christ.
What were some of the traits you see in the people involved in the stories you just read?
What do you feast on in your life?
On a scale of 1-10, one being the lowest and ten the highest, rate your hunger for God. Be honest with your evaluation.
If we want to increase our hunger then what must we do?
Prayer
Lord Jesus I want a hunger for you that is unrivaled. I want to be desperate for you, for your presence, for your life-giving voice. I want to hunger for the things in your heart, for your presence, for your miracles, and most of all for intimacy with you God. I want to hunger for your Word that brings me life. I want to hunger daily to walk with my God, the one true living God! Lord Jesus help me to feast on You! Help me to cut away all other worldly desires and hunger from my life so that I may feast on you alone. Amen.
Life Application
Hunger is only developed by feasting. This week everyday feast on the presence of God and the Word of God. Spend time in prayer, in worship, and in thanksgiving. Read His Word and spend time in it. Set aside at least 1 hour everyday to just be with God.
