Sermon Recap
Why do we need to live our lives intentionally? Because wasteful living ruins our appetite for Jesus. We are advised in scripture to live carefully and intentionally not wastefully. A wasteful life is a life lived to glorify ourselves, our desires, our wants, our agendas with no regard to God’s plans, or purposes for us. A life lived carefully, prayerfully, and intentionally is a life lived for one purpose, to glorify God. As Christ followers our lives desperately need to look like Jesus. As we walk each day intentionally with the Holy Spirit, we begin to operate from a different perspective. Instead of walking in the wisdom of man, we walk in intimacy with the Holy Spirit and flourish in the knowledge and understanding of God.

Discussion Questions
Discuss together, pushing yourself toward transparency. The more we are authentic and humble with one another, the more we can grow in Christ.
Am I living an intentional life that glorifies God, or am I wasting time focused on worldly pursuits?
Where do you fall short in living life intentionally to serve and please the Lord?
Identify what areas of your life that God controls and the areas of your life you keep trying to control?
Am I willing to release complete control and allow God to sit upon the throne of my life in all areas?
Prayer
In the name of Jesus, I ask you to rid my life of wasteful living. I repent and ask for your forgiveness for trying to take control over my life myself. I now surrender and give you complete control of every area. I ask that you fill me so full of the Holy Spirit that every thought, every word, and every action flows from my intimacy with you. Fill me with your Holy Spirit! Jesus, I want everything you have for me. Fill me with all of you. I give you everything! Amen.
