Sermon Recap
The Narrow Way journey is a call to holiness, which is simply Christlikeness—living and looking like Jesus. Holiness centers on Jesus, as He exemplifies what it means to live righteously. This is illustrated in John 8:1-12, where Jesus forgives a woman caught in adultery. Though her accusers sought to trap Jesus, He challenges them by stating that only the sinless should cast the first stone. When no one does, Jesus, the only one qualified, chooses mercy over condemnation, highlighting that He is not a God of condemnation. Yet, His forgiveness is not permissive; He commands her to “go and sin no more,” demonstrating the transformative balance between grace and truth.
Holiness is not legalism but a relationship rooted in intimacy with Jesus. Pastor Rob used the analogy of tandem skydiving to illustrate this: just as a skydiver relies on their instructor to experience the dive, believers must attach themselves to Jesus to walk in His light and leave sin behind. As 1 John 1:5-7 states, God is light, and living in His light requires honesty and surrender. This connection, or koinonia—a profound intimacy—births holiness. The more closely we associate with Jesus, the more we become like Him, reflecting His nature and character in our lives.
Jesus’ cleansing work goes deeper than forgiveness. His blood not only removes the actions of sin but also erases its stain and transforms our very nature. This deeper cleansing requires daily surrender and attachment to Jesus, which changes our character to align with God’s will, timing, and ways. Holiness makes us reflect Jesus, not for our own sake but so others are drawn to Him through us. Ultimately, holiness is the transformation of our lives into the likeness of Christ, a process of growing intimacy and alignment with the One to whom we are attached.

Discussion Questions
Discuss together, pushing yourself toward transparency. The more we are authentic and humble with one another, the more we can grow in Christ.
What does it mean to you personally to be "attached" to Jesus, and how does that affect your daily life?
How does Jesus' response to the woman caught in adultery demonstrate the balance between grace and truth? How can we reflect that balance in our relationships?
In what ways does holiness go beyond just avoiding sin to becoming more like Jesus in character and nature?
What steps can we take daily to grow in intimacy (koinonia) with Jesus and allow Him to transform our lives?
Prayer
Jesus, today and every day I attached myself to You. I empty myself and surrender myself to You. May You transform my life with Your truth and Your ways. Holy Spirit source me to walk in holiness, becoming more and more like Jesus. In His name I pray. Amen!
Life Application
Daily Surrender: Begin each day by intentionally surrendering your life to Jesus, asking Him to guide your thoughts, actions, and decisions. This helps you stay "attached" to Him and aligned with His will.
Walk in the Light: Reflect on areas of your life where you may be holding onto darkness, such as unconfessed sin or harmful habits, and bring them to Jesus for cleansing and transformation.
Reflect Christ’s Character: Look for opportunities to show grace and truth in your interactions with others, just as Jesus did, and strive to live in a way that points people to Him.
