Sermon Recap
This week on the Narrow Way journey, we explored what it means to live a life sourced by the Holy Spirit. Though Jesus was fully God and fully man, Philippians 2:7 tells us He emptied Himself of divine privilege while on earth. He did nothing on His own (John 5:19) but lived completely empowered by the Holy Spirit, moment by moment. This Spirit-sourced lifestyle wasn’t just for Jesus—it was the model for what normal Christian living should look like. Jesus, as the prototype, shows us that when we too are sourced by the Holy Spirit, anything is possible.
Scripture shows us that the works of Jesus—preaching, teaching, and healing (Matthew 4:23, 9:35)—are meant to continue through us. Preaching is simply sharing the good news, teaching is walking with others in discipleship, and healing involves setting people free physically, mentally, and spiritually. We’ve been given the same Helper Jesus had: the Holy Spirit, who empowers, teaches, comforts, and supports us (John 14:16, 26). Just as man and woman became one in Genesis, we are invited into deep union with Jesus through the Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, we can do nothing; with Him, we are filled with power (Acts 1:8) that makes Jesus visible through our lives.
Being sourced by the Holy Spirit means living beyond excuses and stepping into our God-designed purpose. When we surrender and make ourselves available, God turns the ordinary into the extraordinary. Through the Spirit, we receive words of knowledge, guidance, and boldness to live as co-laborers with Christ (1 Corinthians 3:9). Our lives become a testimony, a light that others are drawn to (Matthew 5:14). Christianity isn’t just about what God does for us, but what He does through us. When we live sourced by the Holy Spirit, we carry the power and presence of Jesus everywhere we go.

Discussion Questions
Discuss together, pushing yourself toward transparency. The more we are authentic and humble with one another, the more we can grow in Christ.
What does it look like in your daily life to be "sourced by the Holy Spirit," and how can you become more aware of His presence and guidance?
How does knowing that Jesus lived empowered by the Holy Spirit—not just His divinity—change the way you view your own ability to live like Him?
In what ways can you step into the works of Jesus—preaching, teaching, and healing—in your current relationships and environment?
What areas of your life do you need to surrender in order to make yourself more available for the Holy Spirit to work through you?
Prayer
Holy Spirit, I invite You to fill me today. Thank You for being my Helper, my Teacher, and my Source. I surrender my heart, my plans, and my life to You. Just as Jesus was led by You, help me to live moment by moment in Your power. Use me to share Your love, speak Your truth, and bring healing to others. Make my life a light that points people to Jesus. I am available—do something extraordinary through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Life Application
Start each day by inviting the Holy Spirit to lead you—take a few moments in prayer to ask for His guidance, wisdom, and power in your conversations, decisions, and actions throughout the day.
Look for one opportunity this week to practice the works of Jesus—whether it’s sharing the Gospel (preaching), encouraging or mentoring someone (teaching), or praying for someone’s healing or breakthrough. Trust the Holy Spirit to work through you.
