Sermon Recap
This week, we conclude our introduction to "The Narrow Way" series by exploring what it truly means to enter this path. Jesus calls us to choose the narrow gate, a road less traveled that leads to life, while the broad road leads to destruction. We often think that choosing between these roads happens at some dramatic crossroads in life, but the truth is, because of our sin nature inherited from Adam and Eve, we start on the wide path by default. We can't save ourselves from this path; we need Jesus, who died for us while we were still sinners, offering us a way to enter the narrow gate through His sacrifice on the cross.
The cross is the entrance to the narrow way, but many struggle to fully embrace it. Some reject the cross entirely, choosing the wide road that promises freedom but leads to emptiness and destruction. Others admire the cross from a distance, enjoying the idea of Jesus without fully surrendering their lives to Him. True transformation happens when we fully receive the work of the cross, acknowledging our sin and need for a Savior. This surrender activates the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, enabling us to live in victory and freedom, walking against the current of this world.
Choosing the narrow way isn't easy; it requires saying "yes" to Jesus and surrendering everything—our will, agenda, and ways. It costs us much, but what we gain in return is far greater: abundant life now and eternal life to come. The journey is marked by challenges, but it's filled with God's presence, peace, and provision.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the gift of salvation that we have through your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for the cross and the new life it has brought me. I say “yes” to you Jesus. Every day I will choose to walk through your gate onto the narrow way. To live in your presence, to be obedient to your ways, and to become more and more like you. I love you Jesus! In Your precious name I pray. Amen.
Life Application
Reflect on Your Current Path: Take time this week to honestly evaluate whether you are fully surrendered to Jesus or just admiring the cross from a distance. Ask God to reveal areas of your life that need alignment with His will.
Embrace Daily Surrender: Each day, intentionally choose to surrender your will, agenda, and methods to Jesus. Start your mornings by praying for the strength to walk the narrow way, relying on His power rather than your own.
Share Your Journey: Reach out to someone this week—whether a friend, family member, or small group—and share your personal experience of choosing the narrow way. Encourage one another in the challenges and joys of following Christ fully.
