Our Plan Surrounding the Coronavirus
THURSDAY, March 12, 3:20pm
Church Family,
Last night, Governor Gretchen Whitmer addressed Michigan residents and urged people to avoid gatherings of 100 people or more to prevent the possible spread of coronavirus.
In light of this information, our leadership team team is prayerfully working together to develop a course of action for our church. This plan will be fluid, and continue to evolve as we closely monitor information from the Macomb County Heath Department and World Health Organization.
Our staff will be working diligently in the coming hours, days and weeks to keep you informed on all decisions regarding gathering together as a church. Any changes pertaining to this weekend will be shared by the end of day Friday.
Rest assured that your staff and leadership is not approaching this matter from a place of fear, but a place of prayerful wisdom. As I stated in yesterday's update, it is imperative that we are wise, but not paralyzed by fear. I want to encourage each of us to not allow anxiety or panic to rule the day and keep our eyes firmly fixed on Jesus. Stay in the Word, intercede for our nation, and care for those around you. May we be beacons of light and peace, ablaze for our neighbors to see.
We will continue to update you. Thank you for prayers!
John MacDonald
